New York State Minority/Women Business Enterprise (MWBE) has granted Downtown Troy’s Flowers by Pesha, as The Capital Regions only NYS Certified Women-owned Business Enterprise Florist, Flowers by Pesha has completed an in-depth application process and became NYS certified this past December.

This is a very exciting opportunity for Flowers by Pesha to become a NYS Vendor and WBE. We look forward to working with local, state governments as well as local business leaders.

NYS WBE is designed to promote equality of economic opportunities, and to eliminate barriers to their participating in state contracts. Promote the business development through education and outreach to Upstate NY agencies. Encourages and assist state agencies to award a fair share of contracts to WBE’s. Establishments that are certified woman-owned business are granted access to a large database utilized by major corporations and government entities that support supplier diversity. WBE businesses must be at least 51% women-owned operated and controlled. Managing day to day operations must be exercised by the minority ownership member. WBE’s will also have available grant opportunities and low interest loans through local lenders, while increasing business visibility.
